1. Who provides the service
The service Medborgarskapskursen ("the Service") is provided by Znoff AB, corporate ID number 559422-8479 ("we", "us"). Email: info@medborgarskapskursen.se. By creating an account or buying a subscription you accept these terms. The Service is intended for private individuals. If you are under 18 you need your guardian's consent to buy a subscription.
2. What the service is
Medborgarskapskursen is a digital course for the Swedish citizenship test in civics. The Service contains lessons, practice questions, a mock test and word lists, and is based on the Swedish Council for Higher Education's (UHR) study material Sverige i fokus.
The Service is independent. We have no connection to UHR, which writes and marks the test, or to the Migration Agency, which decides on citizenship. We do not register anyone for the test and have no insight into the test questions. The questions in the Service are our own. The content is a study aid; we do not guarantee that you will pass the test or be granted citizenship, because the test and the requirements are decided by the authorities and may change.
3. Account
To use the subscription you need an account with a correct email address. The account is personal and may not be shared. You are responsible for keeping your login details secret and for what happens through your account. If you suspect that someone else is using the account, change your password and notify us.
4. Subscription and price
We offer two subscriptions:
- Monthly subscription, SEK 99 per month. The subscription runs until further notice and renews automatically every month until you cancel it.
- Annual subscription, SEK 499 per year. The subscription is valid for twelve months and renews automatically for twelve months at a time unless you cancel it before the end of the period. We send a reminder to your email address before an annual subscription renews.
All prices are in Swedish kronor and include VAT. The subscription gives you access to the whole Service during the paid period. If we change the price, we notify you by email at least 30 days before the change takes effect, and the new price applies only from the next renewal. If you do not want to continue at the new price, cancel the subscription before the renewal.
5. Payment
Payment is made via the payment service Stripe with the payment methods shown at checkout. We do not store your card details; they are handled by Stripe. The amount is charged in advance at purchase and then at every renewal. If a renewal cannot be paid, for example because the card has expired, access is paused until the payment has gone through. A receipt is sent to your email address.
6. Cancellation
You can cancel the subscription at any time, on the account page or by emailing us. The cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for. You keep access until then, and nothing more is charged. We do not refund a period that has already started, beyond what follows from the right of withdrawal in section 7 or from mandatory consumer rules.
We may terminate or suspend your account if you breach the terms, for example by sharing the account or copying the content. In the case of suspension for a breach of the rules, fees already paid are not refunded.
7. Right of withdrawal
As a consumer you have, under the Swedish Distance and Off-Premises Contracts Act (2005:59), the right to withdraw from the purchase within 14 days from the day you bought the subscription, without giving any reason.
The Service is digital content that is delivered as soon as you have paid. When you tick at checkout that you want access to the course immediately, you expressly consent to delivery starting during the withdrawal period, and you acknowledge that the right of withdrawal ends once you have been given access to the Service. This means that you cannot withdraw from the purchase and get your money back solely on the basis of the right of withdrawal once the course has been opened for you.
If you want to withdraw from a purchase before you have been given access, write to info@medborgarskapskursen.se. You may use the Swedish Consumer Agency's standard withdrawal form, but it is not required. We refund the amount within 14 days of receiving your notice, using the same payment method you used. The right of withdrawal does not affect your other rights, for example in the case of defects in the Service.
8. Permitted use
You may use the Service and its content for your own studies for the test. You may not:
- copy, distribute, sell or otherwise use the content outside the Service, for example in your own course or on another website;
- share your account or your login details with others;
- use automated tools to retrieve content or put a load on our systems;
- circumvent technical restrictions or security measures;
- use the Service in a way that violates the law or these terms.
If you want to use the course in teaching, for example in SFI or at an adult education association, contact us and we will find a solution.
9. Intellectual property
Texts, questions, explanations, word lists, images, layout and software in the Service belong to Znoff AB and are protected by copyright. The subscription gives you a right to use the content, not ownership of it. Sverige i fokus is UHR's material; our course does not reproduce it, but explains it in our own words. We do not use UHR's or the Migration Agency's names or logos in a way that suggests cooperation.
10. Content and liability
We work to keep the content correct and up to date, and every fact has a source. Errors may still occur, and the authorities' rules, material and tests may change before we have time to update. We are not liable for decisions you make based on the content, for example the result of the test or the outcome of your application for citizenship.
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages. If we are nevertheless obliged to compensate you, our liability is limited to the amount you have paid us during the last twelve months. The limitation does not apply if we caused the damage intentionally or through gross negligence, and it does not restrict your rights under mandatory consumer legislation.
11. Availability and changes
We aim for the Service to be available around the clock, but cannot guarantee that it is always free from interruptions or errors. Planned maintenance is announced when possible. We may change, add or remove content and features, for example when UHR changes the test or the material.
We may also change these terms. We notify you of material changes by email at least 30 days before they take effect. If you do not accept the changes, you can cancel the subscription before that date. If you continue to use the Service after that date, the new terms apply.
12. Personal data
How we process your personal data, which suppliers we use and what rights you have is set out in our privacy policy.
13. Governing law and disputes
Swedish law applies to these terms. These terms are also available in Swedish, and the Swedish version governs in case of any difference in interpretation. If we cannot reach an agreement, you as a consumer may turn to the Swedish National Board for Consumer Disputes (Allmänna reklamationsnämnden, ARN), Box 174, 101 23 Stockholm, arn.se. We take part in ARN's proceedings. You can also get advice from the Swedish Consumer Agency's guidance service Hallå konsument or from the consumer adviser in your municipality. A dispute may also be tried by a general court.
14. Contact
