MedborgarskapskursenWho are we?
Medborgarskapskursen is provided by Znoff AB, corporate ID number 559422-8479, a Swedish company that is also behind the online courses YK Kurser for the Swedish Transport Agency's knowledge tests. We make online courses for public authorities' tests, and we make them the same way every time: the material follows the authority's own source material, and every fact has a source.
We are independent of the Swedish Council for Higher Education (UHR), which writes and marks the test, and of the Migration Agency (Migrationsverket), which decides on citizenship. We do not register anyone for the test, we have no insight into the test questions and we cannot influence your case. Questions about your application should go to the Migration Agency, and questions about test day to UHR.
Our fact rule
Most of what is written about the Swedish citizenship test online is guesswork: made-up pass marks, "real test questions" that do not exist and test dates nobody has announced. This is what we do instead:
- Every figure, date and rule has a source at UHR, the Migration Agency, the Riksdag or in the legal text. The sources are on the page.
- We never write that the test has a certain pass mark, a certain number of questions or a date that UHR has not published. The August 2026 test had 60 questions in 90 minutes, but the format of the next test has not been decided, and then we say so.
- Our questions are our own. UHR has published five sample questions, and we say clearly which ones are theirs.
- We write in our own words. Sverige i fokus is UHR's material, and we do not copy it.
- When UHR or the Migration Agency changes something, we update the page and write the date. If you find an error, write to us and we will correct it.
Who writes the course?
The course is written and maintained by Shayan Parsai, course lead and course developer. He built the online courses behind YK Kurser and works day to day with how people read and search online. You can see it in the course: headings that answer the questions people actually ask, and texts that can be read on a phone.
Written for Swedish as a second language
The test is written in Swedish at a functional level, which the government compares to B1. Participants in the first test said the hard part was the language in the questions, not the facts. The course is built around exactly that:
- Short sentences and one message per sentence.
- Everyday words before technical terms. The technical terms the test uses are included, but explained straight away.
- A list of difficult words for every chapter.
- Questions with an explanation and a page reference, so that you see where in the material the answer is.
- English chapter pages and guides, so that you understand the content before you read it in Swedish.
What happens next?
The chapter pages, the guides and the practice test are open to everyone. The course with lessons, all the questions and the mock test opens for purchase when payment and accounts are in place. If you want an email when that happens, write to info@medborgarskapskursen.se.
