MedborgarskapskursenSverige i fokus is UHR's material, and UHR says the test is based on it. The lessons in the course are our own texts, written in our own words. The course is independent of UHR and the Migration Agency.
How the course is structured
Every chapter has three parts: a lesson that explains the chapter in plain Swedish, practice questions with explanations and page references, and a list of difficult words. The chapter pages below are free to read without an account, and they are in English. The lessons, all the questions and the mock test are part of the course.

The mock test
The test on 15 August 2026 had 60 multiple-choice questions with four options, on paper and in Swedish, with 90 minutes of test time. The mock test in the course has the same form: 60 questions in 90 minutes, mixed from all 13 chapters, with a timer and a result per chapter so that you see what you need to revise.
UHR has not published the format of the next test. When it comes, we will change the mock test and write the date. The questions are our own, not UHR's. The pass mark has not been published, so the mock test shows how many correct answers you have, not whether you would have passed the test.
Difficult words
The test is written in Swedish at a functional level, which the government compares to B1. Participants in the August test said the hard part was the language in the questions, not the facts. That is why every chapter has a list of words from Sverige i fokus, explained in everyday words: for example what nederbörd (precipitation), opposition, kollektivavtal (collective agreement) or successionsordning (the Act of Succession) means.
The words are on the free chapter pages and in the lessons. In the course you can also practise the words separately.
What is not included
- Official test questions. UHR has published five sample questions and does not endorse private practice tests.
- A guarantee of passing. The test is written and marked by UHR.
- Registration for the test. You do that with UHR, with a referral letter (anvisningsbrev) from the Migration Agency.
- The language test in Swedish. The course covers the test in civics.
