Facts about the word
- The period after the breakthrough of democracy was turbulent, with major conflicts between employers and workers. Strikes for better pay and working conditions were common. Sverige i fokus s. 34–35
- In 1931 the military fired on workers who were demonstrating in Ådalen. Several people were killed, and the event showed how deep the conflicts were. Sverige i fokus s. 35
